Ok, simplifying what I had up here earlier. (Posted on Akaelae just to have it on Akaelae, which will begin updating in a week, MWF in FULL pages. BTW... the full pages take longer since 3 pages would ordinary have become 6 - 9 strip updates. You are getting MORE in one week than before, even if I only update 2 pages.) I don't want anyone to misunderstand. I just want suggestions for the April Incentive. (Those of you who can't donate, don't worry about it, just hit Wowio and keep reading the comics and introduce others to them.) I didn't do incentives for a couple of months due to the ads covering a good deal of my costs, then the ads kinda fell off for awhile and I started running incentives, which weren't successful and earned enough to pay for the incentives themselves. I can't keep doing that... obviously. :D So for April, I actually have 'need' to pay for groceries/meds and gas. If you want me to just update more, just put UPDATE! on the donation. I am going to take the suggestion to do a nice Darius print. Prints and postcards don't actually 'hurt' as much as they once did. :)
I do spend at a minimum... 8 hours on the various comics, scripting, drawing, inking, coloring, dealing with the business side of things like removing ads that might annoy people and viewing all of them that I can. There's also the book work which I'm doing in the background. The other 8 hours of my day are spent making meals and doing the usual housewife things and taking care of Kim... Kim often intrudes within my 8 hours of work since she's here with me. :D But this isn't about past months where I've had illness and other things creeping up and cutting into my work time, but April, which while looking good all the way around, is NOT going to be good financially due to my prior months of not consistently pushing for donations themselves. I didn't have to... I had ads. They are picking up again, btw, just not quickly enough to close the gap between April 1st and April 15th. (I get paid on April 15th.)

Bluefox Don't feel bad, can't donate either ;.; Though I migh be able to scrape up something, just glad that there is a physical address insted of strictly OL donations like allot of folks have these days.

Anyway, lookin forward to the new Akaelae when it comes out, and I have been giving evryone I know and folks i don't know the links to here to spread the word and readership.

Bluefox Goodness my.. Having been in a few tornados, waterspout and more than a share of hurricanes, electrical storms and strong tropical depressions I can agree. Bad weather gives me the heebejeebees.

Next time don't woryr about a little water in the tank when getting gas. It'll mix with the fuel in howevre many drops per quart and you'll not even notice, but if youre truely concerned a spalsh of 91% (splash = cap full) rubbing alcohol will start the water into evaporation and it'll be gone through the venting of the tank without any more effort on your part.

Hope you weren't hurt to badly with the n=knock on the head or got a chemical burn from the petrol spill. Toss the lcothes in the wash, small cycle only those lcothes, some detergent and then a dot of dishsoap will get the petrol out and the smell gone.

MephitMark You didn't have tornado Syke. That was specifically a funnel. It is a tornando only once the funnel touches the ground. Not to get snippy about it, but you'd be surprise how many people get things wrong after those idiot movies 'twister' & 'tornado' years back. I've been a Skywarn spotter for the NWS for over twenty years now, so I have very good idea about the weather. I would strongly recommend going to a Skywarn class. Most are free.
Sundried Evil I could donate. I could donate a good 20k if I were so inclined. But I'm evil. Good luck with that.

6:51am: Friday Updates
 Alien Dice has updated! Akaelae has a picture of Tira up. Updates will return to normal next week! (At the moment, Akaelae will update M-F (Thanks to that gift two months ago, I still feel I owe on that one, plus other people helping me out on top of that who enjoy Akaelae), AD will update MWF while I work on the books). There are a handfull of auctions for original Alien Dice artwork up on furbid.Auctions end on Friday and Saturday and procedes go toward (in order) my medication, which I need to refill TODAY, gas which I also need TODAY and groceries, then bills, Speed Racer tickets and convention stuff. ( The holding price is $20 on each piece.) Bid now!

And... new incentive for Akaelae, donate a minimum of $5 and get a cameo on Akaelae, cameo rules are basically, one or two appearances, felines, mice, rabbits, fox (all colors except white), wolves, misc other species and genoworks mixes (No native roos, rifiers or talking shivae/scythetails.) None of them ... weird.


Ugh... ok, I'm going back to cutting up full pages and updating throughout the week. I'm doing 50% more work every week than I was doing and the result is loss in ad revenue by not updating M-F and frequently falling behind. I liked showing off the full pages... but I think I'll restrict those to Wowio and print from now on. It's just too much for me to handle and actually DO anything else during the day.


As usual... I'm swamped with work, which means I respond to email very slowly or not at all. Typically, I respond to emails that only require a sentence or two and save the rest for longer responses... then they get lost in other email. It's an endless cycle. But I do read EVERY email I get.

AD Book #1 with text progress: 75% complete - Need to finish cover, layout book after proofreading text.
AD Book #2 with/without text progress: 15% complete - Going over lineart in Manga Studio in preparation for recoloring.
